Lord, Liar, or Lunatic
The “Lord, Liar, or Lunatic” argument is an apologetic argument that is used to argue for Jesus’ divinity. Only God can not be either a liar or a lunatic, either a deceiver or deceived. So, if the man who claimed to be God isn’t God, then he must be either a liar or a lunatic. Either he knows he is not God, and thus he is the worlds biggest liar, or he doesn’t know that he is not God, in which case he is the worlds biggest lunatic. If you cant call Jesus either a liar or a lunatic you must call him the Lord as he claimed to be.
The one and only thing Jesus cannot possibly be, is the thing nearly all non Christians believe that he is; a wise and good and trustable man who is neither a liar nor a lunatic nor the Lord. Therefore we must make a choice. If he is not who he says he is, he is a bad man. If he is who he says he is, we must give all of ourselves to him as Lord and Savior.
